Between December and April, Music at the House will present 20 performances by some of the world’s most celebrated artists on one of the world’s most iconic stages. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am, Monday 10 November.

Music at the House is dedicated to bringing the gold-standard in contemporary music to Sydney, connecting audiences with the world’s best musicians from Australia and beyond. The summer line-up will present a wide range of artists, from indie-pop and electronica to post-rock and rumba, and from Afrobeat, dub-reggae and soul to alt-rock, ambient and neo-classical composers.

Ben Marshall, Head of Contemporary Music at Sydney Opera House, said: “From Caribou to Max Richter and Neneh Cherry to Lykke Li, Music at the House aims to elevate the contemporary music experience for audiences and artists alike by championing extraordinary new artists and celebrating legendary ones in perhaps the most iconic venue in the world – a venue that traditionally hosts orchestras, operas and ballets. In addition to our Vivid LIVE and GRAPHIC festivals, Music at the House entertains, inspires, excites and delights audiences all year round.

“Working side by side with our fellow festivals, promoters and Sydney’s thriving music community – including artists, labels, venues and audiences – we are incredibly proud to be playing our part in making Sydney an increasingly vibrant city for music-makers and music-lovers.”

Music at the House’s digital program will expand in 2015 to include more artist conversations and exclusive content, taking the Opera House experience to music lovers around the world and deepening the connection between audiences and these seminal artists.

Music at the House’s 2014 program included performances by The Gloaming, Pat Metheny Unity Group, Rodriguez, Nils Frahm, Angus & Julia Stone, Boy & Bear, City and Colour, The Jezabels, Iron & Wine, Buddy Guy with Charlie Musselwhite, The National, Flying Lotus, Bonobo and Grizzly Bear.
