Warpaint Secret Sydney Show

Warpaint‘s second self-titled album is released in Australia today and to celebrate the LA based four-piece is thrilled to announce a very SPECIAL NEW AUSTRALIAN SHOW DATE to take place at a secret location in Sydney.

Presented by Love Police, Laneway Presents, Oyster Magazine & Remote Control Records the secret show will take place at an eerie yet beautiful location in the inner western suburbs of Sydney on Wednesday 5th February.

A very limited number of tickets are ON SALE NOW to the general public and ticket holders will be notified of the shows location at 11am on Wednesday 5th February by email & txt message. The show will be a once in a life time opportunity for fans to see Warpaint produce their hypnotic brand of indie rock in a unique and delicate setting.

Warpaint is a Los Angeles based quartet comprised of Emily Kokal (vocals/guitar), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass/vocals), Theresa Wayman (guitar/vocals), and Stella Mozgawa (drums). To say that this follow-up is “highly anticipated” is an understatement considering the reception that their debut received when it was released at the end of 2010.

Warpaint was co-produced by Warpaint and Flood (PJ Harvey, Sigur Ros, New Order, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Foals), and mixed by Flood and Nigel Godrich (Radiohead). The album was conceived after some writing and recording sessions that took place in The Joshua Tree late last year. Here the band was joined by visionary director Chris Cunningham who has partnered with them for many of the album visuals including the cover. He has spent the past two years filming and photographing the band as they made Warpaint.
