Having already sold out her two club shows in Sydney and Melbourne in record time, these all ages Heavenly Sounds concerts will be an opportunity for fans of all age groups to witness her live in an intimate and unique setting.

The Heavenly Sounds touring concept, which sees artists perform in the breathtaking surroundings of churches and cathedrals, has proven popular on the live music circuit with sold out tours from acts such as Daughter, Laura Marling, Beth Orton, Seeker Lover Keeper and Lisa Mitchell to name a few.

A self-taught 20 year-old singer songwriter from Bath in the UK, Gabrielle has been writing and recording songs since she was 15. Growing up in a (self-confessed) ‘hippy’ household where music was a family staple, she honed her craft listening to Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen and Nick Drake. At 17 she set up her own label and went on to release 3 EPs before the release of her debut album ‘English Rain’. The album debuted at #2 on the UK album chart and is currently #4 on the Australian iTunes chart. Gabrielle’s single ‘The Power Of Love’ peaked at #1 on the Australian iTunes chart and has since been certified gold. The song is featured in the advertisement for Channel 7’s new drama ‘Resurrection’, which was watched by over 2 million viewers on its TV debut here in Australia.

Last year, Gabrielle supported Gotye on a European tour and made her first visit to Australia supporting Ed Sheeran on his sold out tour, collecting legions of new fans along the way.

21 year-old Hunter Valley singer songwriter Melody Pool will be opening for all three shows. Her debut album ’The Hurting Scene’, recorded in Nashville USA by producer Jace Everett (responsible for the True Blood theme “Bad Things”), sends the listener time-travelling to coffee houses in the late 60’s, with songs reminiscent of early Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne.

Tickets for Gabrielle Aplin’s Heavenly Sounds shows are $57.50 + transaction fees and are open to all ages.

Tickets go on sale through www.ticketek.com.au on Tuesday 22 April at 10am. Members of the Heavenly Sounds mailing list can access a pre-sale at 10am on Wednesday 16 April.
