Yours & Owls ’23 – Get Up Close with Descendents, Tia Gostelow, Sorry, & Pacific Avenue

New spaces and famous faces are what the Yours & Owls team are serving you this week!

The University Of Wollongong, our flash new home, has a plethora of cool spaces for those of you who like things that are a little bit off the beaten track; by that we mean those of you who are after a cherry on top of your usual Yours and Owls festival experience.

YOUNG HENRYS PUB
Music nerds unite! Your favourite bev brewers, Young Henrys, will host a music lovers hub next to the main stage. It features a Record Room for all you vinyl enthusiasts, late-night karaoke for all you future rock stars, and a chance to get up close and personal with a handful of festival acts via IRL Q&A’s with our favourite Doctor!

That’s right, Frenzal Rhomb’s lead guitar slayer and ABC Illawarra host with the most Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall will be sitting down with the likes of Descendents, Tia Gostelow, Sorry, and Pacific Avenue for 45 min exclusive in-depth conversations you can bear witness to! Keep an eye on socials for times.

Need an excuse to expand your wax collection? Music Farmers have skilfully curated the Record Room and indie label fair. Peruse records from artists on the festival lineup and the latest and classic offerings from our favourite labels like Farmer & The Owl, Bedroom Suck Records, Music In Exile, Stranded Recordings, Pak Music & Third Eye Stimuli. Take your chance to meet some of the artists on the line-up, and get your records signed.

Or, pull up a pew in the sunny bear garden and wash down the chilliest beers and ciders straight from the tap!

FELLR GARDEN OF FIZZ
Deep within Yours & Owls, a heavenly oasis awaits. A tasty watering hole, the Feller Garden of Fizz! The Garden will feature DJ sets from local legends Unknown Associates, Cove Soundsystem, BeachCombers, PJ, Soaked, Subtropic and Barney Cools.

And another opportunity to supercharge those future pop star manifestations with the inaugural Terryoke! Karaoke with The Terrys! Head to the Garden, first thing Sunday to belt out your favourite tune with a little help from your friends, the Gerringong lads themselves.
