West Thebarton Brothel Party Name Change
Times they are a-changin’ for the band (now) formerly known as WEST THEBARTON BROTHEL PARTY.
Y’all know these rock-roaring Adelaidians pretty well now, so from here on in, you can call them WEST THEBARTON. They’ve also just introduced a new drummer, landed a sweet management deal, scored a European booking agent and announced a one-off Sydney show at the Landsdowne Hotel. It’s all happenin’ for West Theb!
Following the smashing success of tinny-lifting banger ‘Moving Out’ earlier this year, the band have bid farewell to resident tubsman Hugh Black, who is departing to polish off his fine arts degree (la di da). They’ve since subbed in most excellent Adelaide tattoo artist Caitlin Thomas. Check out this woman’s incredible Instagram. We hear she’s just as much of a monster behind the kit.
This no-frills, all fun, slightly slack true-blue rock septet have locked down the management thing, too. Their new pals are Fidelity Corp who are without doubt some of the hardest working and most charismatic bods in the biz and who happen to handle things for Karnivool, amongst others. They’ve also signed themselves up a juicy European bookings deal with X Ray Touring, so expect the gravelly ministrations of frontman Reverend Ray to be absorbed loud and clear across the pond in the not too distant future.
And did we mention that there’s an album on the way? Yep. You heard right. Before the end of this year of two thousand and seventeen. More of the energetic, loveable tune-age that’s seen these legend catapult themselves to the top of bars, bills and ‘Best Of’ lists with admirable aplomb.
Onwards and upwards.
