Watsky Announces Australian Release Date For New Album All You Can Do
Californian rapper, slam poet and performer WATSKY is proud to announce that his forthcoming LP All You Can Do will be available in Australia on August 15, 2014 via Caroline Australia.
All You Can Do is 16 tracks of technically complex but heartfelt poems sung and spat at WATSKY’s signature speed, and the follow up to 2013’s Cardboard Castles.
WATSKY’s global career had its kickstart in 2006 after he won the Brave New Voices National Poetry Slam competition and appeared on the final season of HBO’s Russell Simmons Def Poetry, subsequently performing at over 150 colleges in 2007 while himself a college freshman. In 2008, WATSKY stood toe-to-toe with President of the United States of America Bill Clinton at the opening plenary of Greenbuild Chicago, and after one of WATSKY’s fast rapping videos went viral in 2011, he was invited to perform on Last Call with Carson Daly and Ellen (twice!), solidifying his position as one of the country’s most exciting and unique emerging talents.
All You Can Do is a 16-track reflection of WATSKY’s journey to date, covering ground from his relationship with his parents, to dealing with a recent illness, to the fallout from a stage-stunt on tour in the UK last year. The video for lead single “Woah Woah Woah” was released directly to WATSKY’s rabid fanbase in mid-June and has since amassed over 2.1 MILLION views in 7 short weeks.
