The Harpoons Announce Debut LP Falling For You And Reveal Video For First Single ‘Unforgettable’

Melbourne based outfit The Harpoons are excited to announce the release of their debut album Falling For You via Two Bright Lakes / Remote Control Records in July 2014.

The first taste of their debut long-player comes in the form of soulful single ‘Unforgettable‘ which premiered on SPIN overnight.

While the song boasts handclaps, bongo beats, and heavy, humming synths, the clip features vocalist Bec Rigby, up close and personal, belting out her love-stricken lyrics with her eyes closed.

The Harpoons are Bec Rigby, whose arresting vocals invoke the great voices heard from Chicago, Detroit, and Philadelphia; brothers Henry and Jack Madin, who write undeniable boppers and ballads that burst with harmony; and Martin King (of Oscar + Martin), who ties the ends with his steezy beats and sultry vocals.

For over a year now, the Melbourne-based band have been underground working hard in the dark and in the heat and what they’ve come up with will hit you right where it hurts.
