The Creases Release Video For Static Lines
Liberation Music is excited to confirm a release date for The Creases’ debut EP, Gradient. The EP will be released this coming July 25, two days ahead of the band’s performance at Splendour In The Grass.
Recorded with Simon ‘Berkfinger’ Berckelman (Philadelphia Grand Jury, Art Vs Science), Gradient is the sum of the Brisbane band’s early creative toil and follows the release of their popular stand-alone singles ‘I Won’t Wait’ and ‘Fun To Lose’. Including current single ‘Static Lines’, the EP’s five new tracks unveil a diverse yet seamless first offering, showcasing the band’s impressive sonic talents.
A few weeks back, The Creases shared ‘Static Lines’ with us. The track has received an abundance of online love (now up to over 66,000 plays on Soundcloud) in addition to strong triple J and community radio support locally.
Today, The Creases give us their video for the track. Premiered by US based site Noisey, the clip was filmed by the band at a party in West End, Brisbane, earlier this year.
The Creases will launch ‘Static Lines’ along the east coast over the coming weeks. In July, they’ll support Irish four-piece The Strypes, before hitting Byron for Splendour In The Grass. The band have been perfecting their live show this year, playing across the UK, the US and also locally. They’ve performed at a bunch of festivals including Laneway in Brisbane, Live At Leeds and The Great Escape in the UK, and also opened for internationals Shy Nature (also in the UK) and Drenge and Jake Bugg back home. Tickets to The Creases’ headline and support shows are on-sale now.
Gradient is out on July 25.
