The Coathangers New Single ‘Follow Me’

The Atlanta punk band The Coathangers originally formed as a joke, with song titles like “Nestle in My Boobies” (a classic) and “Don’t Touch My Shit”.

But over the past few years, they’ve tightened up and the loss of the keyboardist Candice Jones, known to fans as Bebe Coathanger, seems to have helped them to get more serious.

‘Follow Me’ the lead track off their Forthcoming LP ‘Suck My Shirt’ has a melody that’s immediate and lyrics that are both aggressive and playful. This pedal to the metal rocker is the perfect song to showcase The Coathangers evolution since the departure of Candice, towards a stronger distinctive sound. With their direct and snarling lyrics now pared down to its scrappy essentials, The Coathangers are tighter then ever whist still maintaining their wild punk and rock roots.
