Next week CAT POWER, the greatest interpreter of Bob Dylan’s music arrives in Sydney for two very special shows at City Recital Hall on March 3 (sold out) and 4, and then a finale at The Green Room in Byron Bay on March 13.
Following her powerful 2023 release, Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert, Chan Marshall aka Cat Power and her band deliver this significant collection of songs, stories and memories to fans, with support at City Recital Hall from singer songwriter Dan Kelly.

ON APRIL 12, 1966 BOB DYLAN ARRIVED AT SYDNEY AIRPORT
In April 1966, Bob Dylan made the trek Down Under for his first Australian appearances, flying in from Hawaii on a classic Pan-Am and arriving early morning on April 12.
Dylan was accompanied by his band, The Hawks, and their first stop in Australia was a press conference organised in a private room at Sydney airport.
Fans flocked to see the influential American folk musician arrive in Australia ahead of his show at Sydney Stadium on April 13 and 16 where he would perform She Belongs To Me, Desolation Row, Mr. Tambourine Man and It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue and more.
