Cobra Announce ‘Gloom’ Tour
Adelaide progressive instrumental project, Cobra will tour the nation this March in support of their upcoming debut single Gloom, which will appear on their forthcoming debut record Locking Tusks with Creation.

“Cobra is one of the most exciting bands in Adelaide—it has to be said.” – TEO Magazine
“Cobra are lean, tough and command attention. This trio are pushing metal to its limits.” – Happy Music Blog
Cobra consists of guitarist Yanni Apostolidis, drummer Jonty Czuchwicki and bassist Kyle Clarke.
Founded in 2012 and taking to the stage in 2014, Cobra have spent the last three years writing and preparing for their debut album.
Cobra have supported some of Australia’s most promising heavy bands such as CHILD, Holy Serpent, Hobo Magic and The Love Junkies. Thrashing the local live circuit, Cobra curated a two-year long residency at Ancient World which saw them develop a cult like following and they toured Indonesia in September 2016, playing eight shows in seven cities to crowds of up to two hundred rabid fans.

ABOUT COBRA
Conceptual sonic journeys, unpredictable song structures, a blind eye to the conventional and a desire to push boundaries are core to Cobra. The three piece infect their compositions with emotion, abstract imagery and a feeling of satisfaction.
With artistry at the core of their creative process the band have drawn comparisons to Mastodon, Baroness and Animals As Leaders.
Gloom is the first single from Cobra’s forthcoming debut album. The tight punchy number is their most concise and is dripping with groovy riffs. Known for their impressive tempo changes, distinctly characteristic passages and interesting timings, Cobra’s live endurance is undeniable. The 18-minute epic Locking Tusks with Creation is a staple of their set and a true spectacle of musical performance.
“The future of Cobra seems rather promising.” – The Music
