The 1975 Sell Out All Sideshows
UK indie-popsters The 1975 have officially sold out all Australian sideshows just prior to touching down on our shores.
Sydney’s Enmore Theatre and two shows at Melbourne’s Hi-Fi sold out in a matter of hours of on sale and now notorious slow coach Perth’s Capitol Theatre is also officially sold out.
It was only six months ago that The 1975 were in Australia playing club shows and it seems the seeds planted during that initial trip have rapidly blossomed into a fan base now in step with the rest of the world, where the band continue to win over fans from sold out tours in venues such as London’s Royal Albert Hall to marquee festival appearances like Coachella and Glastonbury.
Set to wow capacity rooms from this week, the four-piece will be joined in Sydney and Melbourne by Sydney’s Mammals. After releasing first single ‘Move Slower’, he was Unearthed by triple j and won the opportunity to take to the stage at Laneway Festival. Since, he has released another single ‘Circles’ and also announced their debut EP “Animalia” due for release on August 15. In Perth, indie grunge darlings Tired Lion will precede ’75 playing songs off their debut EP “All We Didn’t Know” and road testing some new material that they are set to record later this year.
For fans that unfortunately missed out on tickets this time around due to incredibly high demand, please join the waiting list to be notified for more Australian shows. The more people on the list, the sooner they’ll be back! For further information head to www.secret-sounds.com.au
