Pinky Beecroft (MGF) New Single “Band Of Gold”

Pinky Beecroft is a musician, singer, writer, and raconteur, perhaps best known as the front-person of Machine Gun Fellatio. He’s been an irregular force on TV, performed sold-out tours as a stand-up comedian, and won an ARIA for Song Of The Year (“No Aphrodisiac” by The Whitlams).

“Band Of Gold” is his first release for almost two decades. As usual, Pinky has served up a massive surprise: a tune with flavours of alt-country, folk, banjo – at first glance the opposite of MGF, and yet it’s hooky as hell. 

The single, produced by Damian Cafarella, features Pinky on vocals & keys, with Damian on guitars, drums, and bass.  Queenie also joins the track on backing vocals.  

“Band Of Gold” is the first taste of Beecroft’s long-awaited forthcoming new album, scheduled for release later this year.
