WAVE ONE HAS LANDED!
Here is your first look at FROTH & FURY FEST 2027:
CLUTCH • ALPHA WOLF
PALEFACE SWISS • CARPENTER BRUT
IGORRR • PROPAGANDHI • COUNTERPARTS
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY • DEATH TO ALL
28 DAYS • DARK ANGEL • TRUTH CORRODED
THE BERZERKER • FOX LAKE • SIERRA VEINS
WAYSIDE • RATSALAD • RACCOON CITY + MORE TO COME
THIS IS WAVE ONE OF THREE!
More bands, more chaos, more BIG reveals

Leading the first announcement for FROTH & FURY FEST 2027, Maryland riff kings CLUTCHreturn to Adelaide for the first time since Soundwave 2014. One of heavy rock’s most enduring live bands, Clutch bring towering riffs, blues-fuelled groove, sharp-witted swagger and the road-tested power of a band that has spent decades commanding stages around the world.
Australia’s own ALPHA WOLF bring homegrown heaviness to the top end of the lineup, charging into Froth & Fury with wrecking-ball dynamics, off-kilter hooks and crowd-crushing intensity, while Switzerland’s PALEFACE SWISS arrive with a brutal collision of beatdown force, deathcore aggression and breakdowns built to tear the floor apart.
When the main stage lights drop, CARPENTER BRUT will close The Compound with a full-scale darksynth rave drenched in horror, metal, cinema and pulsing electronic chaos. A twisted tribute to the Big Day Out’s iconic Boiler Room, the set will shift the festival from daylight destruction into full-blown nightfall madness.
French visionary IGORRR will bring one of heavy music’s most unpredictable live experiences, colliding extreme metal, breakcore, baroque drama, operatic intensity and electronic chaos into something brutal, beautiful and completely their own.
A double shot of Canadian intensity comes from PROPAGANDHI and COUNTERPARTS. Propagandhi bring razor-sharp politics, technical punk firepower and decades of uncompromising fury, while Counterparts deliver melodic hardcore urgency, emotional weight and crushing modern heaviness.
Few bands have bridged punk, metal and heavy rock with the authority of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. From their hardcore beginnings to the Southern-fried sludge, blues-soaked weight and colossal groove that followed, C.O.C. arrive armed with crushing classics, road-worn swagger and more than four decades of heavy rock power.
For the death metal faithful, DEATH TO ALL celebrate the music of Death and the enduring legacy of Chuck Schuldiner, performed by musicians who helped shape the sound, spirit and evolution of extreme metal. Legendary drummer Gene Hoglan then pulls double duty with DARK ANGEL, one of thrash metal’s most influential forces, bringing barbed-wire riffs, whirlwind rhythms and pure devastation to Froth & Fury.
Australian alternative favourites 28 DAYS bring their unmistakable mix of party-punk, rap-rock and mosh-pit chaos, while Adelaide death-thrash veterans TRUTH CORRODED make their long-awaited return for their first live show in seven years.
Also returning are Melbourne extremists THE BERZERKER, back on stage after 17 years with their ferocious collision of industrial death metal, grindcore and hardcore techno.
The first announcement is rounded out by Denver heavyweights FOX LAKE, French dark electronic artist SIERRA VEINS, Melbourne alt-rock outfit WAYSIDE, Western Australian punks RATSALAD and Adelaide post-hardcore favourites and winners of Best Heavy Act at the Music SA Awards RACCOON CITY.

SUPPORTING CAREER PATHWAYS
FOR ALTERNATIVE ARTIST
Froth & Fury was created to support Australian Alternative Artists to get recognition internationally.
We are launching a new initiative to support the next generation which will be open to South Australian Artists for the first year – introducing the “New Breed” & “Path to Fury”.
The “New Breed” – is open to aspiring young musicians from 10 years to 18 years to audition for their chance to shred, blast beat or scream their way to the spotlight and win a cash prize and professional development support.
The “Path to Fury” – is a battle of the bands series of heats aimed at providing South Australian emerging artists the opportunity to score the opening spots on the Main Stages of the festival.
This is a new next-generation initiative designed to spotlight rising talent and give emerging acts a genuine path to the big stage. Applications to open in August – watch our social media or sign up to our newsletter for details.
Supported by the Department of Premier and Government – CreateSA / Music Development Office (MDO), Carclew, Northern Sound System and ARMI (Australian Rock & Metal Institute.

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING
Froth & Fury’s full-scale alternative playground will also return with live-action alternative artists, an expanded Tattoo Parlour, a larger market area, food trucks and plenty more still to be unleashed.
Whether you live for metal, breathe punk, worship big riffs or just want a day of chaos, cans and circle pits, Froth & Fury is calling.
Join the loud ones, let loose and make it your summer ritual to remember.
