Yours & Owls Festival Introduces New Luxe Festival Home: Flagstaff Hill
In a Wollongong festival first, Yours and Owls will be taking over the picturesque Flagstaff Hill, on the Wollongong’s foreshore, for their 2025 festival.
The former military fort, set on top of Flagstaff Point, boasts stunning 360-degree and sweeping views of Wollongong Harbour and City Beach.

Established in the 1890s as a defence against a Russian attack, in 2024, Yours and Owls comes in peace, sprinkling stages among the cannons, dropping beats, not bombs! Multiple stages, the best international and local artists, chill-out spaces, bars, food, and arts showcase all the best elements Wollongong and its surroundings have to offer!
Being closer to the City Centre means better access to all that juicy CBD stuff that makes life a little easier. Direct transport routes, better connectivity, those beachside negative ions, walking distance to the accommodation if you are coming in from out of town, and, most importantly, a hop, skip, and jump to the after-parties!
Yours and Owls Festival 2025 Bush Regeneration and Beach Clean-Up Day
On Friday, 24th January 2025, Yours and Owls Festival invites you to join our Bush Regeneration and Beach Clean-Up Day at the picturesque Puckeys Estate, Fairy Meadow. Running from 8 am to 12 pm, this event is presented in partnership with Wollongong City Councils Rise and Shine Bush Care Group.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet others in the local area, learn about this rare coastal habitat, and contribute to keeping our city’s natural environment and waterways as pristine as possible.
Plus, all participants will have the chance to win festival ticket giveaways! It’s our way of saying thank you for helping to preserve the beauty of our community.
“We’re really proud of our strong and passionate Bushcare community in Wollongong, who volunteer their own time to improve the local environment in areas like Puckeys by removing invasive weeds and planting natives in their place,’’ Wollongong City Council’s Natural Areas Coordinator Greg Fikkers said.
“Through our established relationship with Yours and Owls and this ticket-donation scheme for participants, we’re also able to attract a broader range of community members to Bushcare. We’ve certainly found this since the relationship started in 2018. We’ve had people come along with the intention to participate in a one-off regeneration day and pick up a free concert ticket, only to find they really enjoy themselves and want to continue as a volunteer.
“Over the years we have worked with Yours and Owls to plant more than 1500 native plants and conducted numerous clean ups from Guest Park in Fairy Meadow to Puckeys Estate at North Wollongong. The event in January will see the relationship continue, with native tree planting and reducing waste by cleaning up our foreshores and bushland reserves.’’
