Though lyrically dark in parts, ‘Germland (of Julien Charbonneau)’ is an uplifting tune of friendship and support. Fans of Mosman Alder’s 2012 debut EP ‘Burn Bright’, will again fall in love with their penchant for beautiful melodies accompanied by the moody vocals from Valdis Valodze.

“The song was written while I was experiencing a bit of a rough time, staying in a desolate part of Germany, and seeking solace in regular conversations with my friend Julien. Julien would always ask “how is Germland going?” which inspired the song’s title.” – Valdis Valodze on writing ‘Germland (of Julien Charbonneau)’

Recording their debut LP began in November 2013, at Airlock studios in Brisbane under the guidance of mentor and producer Paul Dempsey (Something for Kate) who describes Mosman Alder as: “One of the best bands I’ve heard come out of Australia in a really long time”.

Mosman Alder are steadily earning a reputation as a commanding live act, following talked about appearancesat Splendour in the Grass, Big Sound and support spots with the likes of Father John Misty, Besnard Lakes and BigScary, as well as their own headline national tour in 2012.

Mosman Alder are: Valdis Valodze (vocals / guitars), Jackson Muir (vocals / guitars), Katarzyna Wiktorski (piano / vocals), Robyn Dawson (violin / vocals), Liam Haug (bass), Damian Wood (drums).
